Acupuncture ChristchurchYes, Acupuncture is indeed an ancient art that has withstood scrutiny throughout the centuries. It is of course as effective today in treating a very wide range of ailments as it was three thousand years ago.

The extraordinary knowledge that the ancients possessed about the body and where human kind belongs in the nature of our vast and wondrous universe is still relevant, as we make our way through life at this moment in time.

As most people know, Acupuncture means that a very fine sterilised needle is placed into the body by way of an Acupuncture point. I use pre-packaged sterilised needles and use them once only.

Acupuncture points are located all over our bodies. It depends entirely upon the effect one is wishing to achieve as to which points will be selected to initiate the most effective response for the treatment.

Acupuncture points are gateways into our meridian or channel systems. These meridians/channels run invisibly like a stream or a river thoughout our bodies. Insertion of the needle alters the flow in the meridian and therefore also has an effect on the organ system that the channel relates to. Thus, change in the condition is reached effectively and simply.

Sometimes the change is not immediate and more than one treatment could be required to achieve the desired result.

Acupuncture works effectively with Qi and Blood. When Qi and Blood are in harmony we have the ability to become well.

When we provide our body with the correct tools the body is perfectly capable of healing itself. This is precisely what Acupuncture does for us.
